I have run into a couple, okay more than a couple, of medical issues this year. For several months now I have been fighting off pain from two bad hips. I’ve been unable to walk without a cane or cruches for about two months now.

For more info about my diagnosis and surgeries, see my blog.

We hope to be back this Fall. We’re planning a float trip for the Buffalo and we’re also planning to get in long trip on the northern section of the Eleven Point this year.

In the meantime, check out some of our past trips for tips and maps:

Well, this is Arkansas isn’t it? Next week it might be in the 80’s for all we know.

At any rate, we have packed the kayaks up and placed them in storage for the Winter. We’ve had a lot of fun this year and we are looking forward to kayaking twice as much next season.

Thanks to all of you for your comments, photos and kayaking stories. For those of you who will be kayaking over the Winter, please stay safe and remember to wear the appropriate clothing and pack gear to keep you warm if you happen to get a bit too wet. Kayaking in the Winter is supposed to be awesome, but it can be very dangerous if you aren’t prepared for the worst.

See ya in the Spring!
