TJ, thanks for the comment! Sorry it has taken so long to get back to you. We had over 800 spam comments on the blog last month and I am just now getting through them all to the real comments.

We bought the white bungee at our local tractor supply shop. I believe it was .50 per foot. If you have a local tractor or farmer supply and ask them if they have bungee by the foot. They most likely will. The farmers use this bungee plus some other hardware to make custom sized bungee and tarp straps. Works perfect for kayaks too though!

Thank you! I recently purchased a Vapor 10xt and I was agonizing over where to put the drain plug. I’m glad your placement worked out and I will be copying you at the first opportunity. They are nigh impossible to dump, aren’t they? I ended up bailing mine out with a Gatorade bottle after my first whitewater shenanigans. Thanks again!

Looks like you guys had a great trip. I’ve wanted to paddle the Cossatot but always assumed it was all class II and above. Cossatot does translate to skull crusher you know… Looks like you had a nice mellow trip. Do you think its worth the drive from St. Louis.
